Benefits of Meditation – relax your way to your wellness!

How often have you been able to switch off all the gadgets in your surroundings and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet? Hhmmmm... Well what’s your opinion??? When the Western scientist began to study the effects of meditation in the 70s they noticed that the heart rate, perspiration and other signs of stress decreased as the mediator relaxed. It has been scientifically shown that mediation works; it is a harmless as well as a simple way to balance a person's physical, emotional, and mental states. It is effortless and can benefit everybody obviously with practise.

The wonderful art of meditation will enhance your general well being and can be facilitated in different ways by taking time out each day to relax and meditate, even if it’s just for 10 minutes a day, I call it “me time” and I tell you it works. I can hear people say I do not have the time but here’s what you are missing out on – Meditation as a matter of fact will help create a gap between our body and our unhelpful thoughts; it returns us to what is called natural harmony. In actual fact some scientists have also indicated meditation as the best medicine for anti ageing I am sure you do like to look and feel good at most times??

A brief Synopsis of how to meditate
Locate a quite lovely space where you will not be disturbed, for the time you have set aside to mediate. Simply enjoy the moments of silence or use some meditative CD's.
Ensure you have comfortable loose clothing on; remember this is all about you relaxing.
Adopt the mediation posture on a mat or a conformable floor.
If you are unable to relax simply focus on how your body feels.
